In June, our kitchen came alive with the energy of four talented high school girls from Girls Inc. — Blake, Amelia, Gemma, and Maxie — who spent the day creating trend-inspired pizzas from start to finish using premium Bacio® cheese. With guidance and encouragement from our incredible team of chefs and pizza experts, each girl brought her unique culinary vision to life.
Girls Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls through mentorship, supportive environments, and research-informed programs that prepare them to navigate life’s challenges and realize their full potential. Through the Girls Inc. experience, participants gain access to strong role models, safe spaces, and opportunities that help shape their futures.
This visit was more than just a fun day in the kitchen — it was a chance for these young women to express their creativity, explore food innovation, create with Bacio cheese, and gain confidence in a professional setting. Our chefs and pizza pros were right alongside them, sharing tips, teaching techniques, and encouraging bold ideas every step of the way.
Each girl embraced a current food trend and made it her own:
- Gemma showcased creativity and flavor knowledge by developing a Mole Enchilada Pizza.
- Maxie brought bold morning flavor to the table with her Southwest Sunrise Breakfast Pizza.
- Amelia delivered a creative twist on a classic appetizer with her Charcuterie Pizza.
- Blake pushed boundaries with her inventive Hot Honey Chicken N’ Waffles Pizza.
With support from our team, each girl tackled the challenge from concept to final slice, showcasing leadership, teamwork, and a lot of imagination and creativity.
The day wrapped up with exceptional pizzas and well-deserved applause — but more importantly, it reminded us of the impact of mentorship, encouragement, and a supportive community.
